
Responsibilities of SIPF's departments and committees and line of business of its subsidiaries
A. Responsibilities of departments
1. Party Committee / Discipline Inspection and Supervision Office is responsible for daily work of the SIPF Party Committee and Discipline Committee, administrative supervision, and external publicity.
2. General Office (Human Resources Department/ Board of Directors Office) is responsible for comprehensive administrative services, logistics support, human resources management, services for the Board of Directors, and subsidiaries management.
3. Investor Education Center is responsible for strategic development and planning of SIPF, investor education, investment of self-possessed fund and protection fund, and management and disposal of foreclosed assets.
4. Investor Service Center is responsible for investor services as well as planning, management and maintenance of both Chinese and English versions of SIPF website.
5. Survey and Assessment Center is responsible for investor surveys and assessment on investor protection.
6. Transactions Settlement Fund Monitoring Center is responsible for daily operation and maintenance of the monitoring system, professional assessment on innovative proposals by securities firms, and audit and review concerning risk handling and monitoring by securities firms.
7. XBRL Application Center (Data Application Center) is responsible for planning, operation and maintenance of electronic information disclosure system for the capital market as well as the SIPF data application.
8. Legal Affairs Department is responsible for the SIPF involvement in risk disposition of securities firms, legislations related to securities investor protection, the SIPF legal affairs and legal publicity.
9. Finance Department is responsible for accounting and supervision, preparation of budgets and final accounts, raising protection fund, and financial management.
10. International Department is responsible for international cooperation and exchange as well as studies on the international securities investor protection field.
11. Information Technology Department (in preparation) is responsible for overall planning of information resources as well as unified management of information technology systems.
B. Responsibilities of committees
1. Strategic Development Committee is responsible for SIPF strategic development and planning.
2. Payment Committee is responsible for drawing up of remuneration and welfare policies as well as management systems for SIPF.
3. Investment Decision Committee is responsible for establishing investment plans and giving advice on investment decisions for SIPF
C. Line of business of subsidiaries
1. Beijing Huazheng Puhui Information Co., Ltd.: Computer system services, data processing and other computer services; basic software, application software and other software services; wholesale and retail of computers, software and ancillary equipment; IT development, information services, investment consulting and e-commerce.
2. Essence Securities Holding Co., Ltd.: Securities brokerage; securities investment consulting; financial consultancy on securities transactions and securities investment activities; securities underwriting and sponsorship; securities proprietary business; securities asset management; margin trading; and other securities business approved by the CSRC.
